I would say, although he is my ex. We are good friends. I was there for him through many of his incarcerations. Tried to put him in the right path and was always there for his family. I don’t care what people say. My feelings for him are gone. They can think what they think. But I will always care for him. And not just him, but anyone else who has returned favors to me.
